  <DIV2>s with TYPE="poem" are used in the first three 
          parts to record the individual poems (each
          of which is numbered with roman numerals).
          
  <LG>s are used for all stanzas except those in item
        7, none (?) of which is numbered.
        
  <SP> ("speech") is used instead of <LG> in item 7 
       (pp. 264-284). The individual lines of verse
       are tagged as usual with <L>, but the stanza
       headings are tagged as <SPEAKER> instead of 
       <HEAD>. Like this (p. 281):

MILESTONES

  Folio references appear only at the head of each poem,
  in small type. These are not proper milestones, but
  record them with the <MILESTONE> tag anyway, inserted
  at the beginning of the first line of verse, and ignoring
  any "ff." that indicates that the poem takes up more than
  one side of a folio. Like this:

NOTES

 All of the items begin with introductions, some quite long. Treat
 these as long notes <NOTE PLACE="head">.
 
 There are some footnotes attached to these long notes, keyed to
 the text by superscripted reference numbers. Treat these as
 notes within notes: <NOTE PLACE="foot">.
 
 Most of the footnotes belong to the verse texts and are keyed to
 them by line number. Insert these at the end of the appropriate
 line, as usual, with the indication of line number removed.
 
 Footnotes keyed to a range of lines should be inserted at the
 end of the last line indicated, with the line numbers retained.
 As usual. Ranges of lines may be indicated either with an
 n-dash ("23-36") or by a comma ("80,81"). Notes are separated
 from each other by m-dashes, which should not be recorded, e.g.:
 
 55. of thoghtes. -- 56. vnmyht, ms. vnmytht. -- 71. fleysh lust ...
 
 recorded as:

CHARACTERS

  This edition uses reversed angular quotation marks (»guillemots«);
  substitute ordinary double quotes for both opening and closing
  quots. (").
