The Hand Tools and Implements Collection
A Catalogue and Guide
These pages sketch out a design for an artefact catalogue
such as might be used by a museum curator or a collector to document a
collection of historic and antique hand tools and implements.
They employ mockups, sample catalogue entries, and examples of
additional documentation in order to illustrate both the potential
and the problems attendant on the adoption of bibliographic-style
cataloguing for non-textual artefacts in a web environment.
A progress report on the project is available.
See information about the collection, with
illustrative examples.

access points provided in the catalogue as well as a list of additional linked information.
